ALMAY INTENSE I-COLOUR SMOKY-I KIT (FOR BROWN EYES)

The bronze shade is so incredibly pigmented and buttery. Theres also a really pretty lilac shimmer shade and a champagne highlight.  How I've been wearing it recently, is with the lilac shadow all over my lid with the bronze right in my crease and a little bit of purple lining my lower lash line. It's such a flattering look for my brown eyes.

24/7 Must Haves

Tide To Go
I cannot say enough good things about this little guy-- it's saved me, my friends, and random strangers from a variety stains. They're really cheap and come in little packs of 2 or 3.

Burts Bees Peppermint Lip Balm
Whether it's peppermint scented or flavored, COUNT ME IN. Not only this this lip balm keep my lips moisturized, its refreshing scent just gives me a little bit of comfort throughout the day.

Sasatinnie Hand Lotion
If you've followed my blog for a while, you might remember my review of this product a long long time ago. Since then, it's stayed in my back pack and has gotten a lot go love. It smells like jelly beans and works REALLY well. It's also a great conversation starter-- everyone loves a good jelly bean scent. ;)

Revlon Kissable Balm Stain : Honey
This has got to be one of my most used lip products EVER. Whenever I use it I seem to get compliments! It's just the perfect dark nude color thats flattering on everyone. One thing that I'm not too big of a fan of is that it is pretty drying if worn multiple days in a row. :( Something that really helps is wearing it over my Burts Bees lip balm!

What are your must haves?

The Shoe that Carries a Woman (PROM #1)

Nine West Rebeca Mary Jane Pumps (Wide) $80
on sale for $35 at Off Broadway

You may have heard the phrase, "A woman can carry a bag, but it's the shoe that carries a woman" well let me just say, I FEEL LIKE A WOMAN IN THESE SHOES ;)

Prom is approaching REALLY FAST (mid March) and my date is 6' 1''…. I'm  5' 4.5" just to give you a comparison; yes, the 0.5" does matter. I'm so excited because this is my first REAL pair of heels (I own a pair of $11 dollar pumps from payless, but those are kind of a mess!) Until now, I held off buying heels because I didn't really feel the need to do so-- plus I thought they were a little bit too mature for my taste but if theres ever time to invest in a good pair, it's when you're going to be dancing the night away, right?

You might be like my mom and roll your eyes when I say this, but I really do think that they're comfortable! I'm not going to lie, I'm probably in the "advanced new born calf" stage when it comes to walking in them, but Ive basically been wearing these around the house non stop to get some practice. I'LL GET THERE GUYS, DONT WORRY! The length of the heel is 4 inches, but theres a subtle half inch of platform which makes it much easier to walk in, not to mention the fact that theres a nice bit of cushion for the balls of your feet. This shoe comes in wide, which is TWO THUMBS UP FROM ME! It's hard to accept, but I definitely have wide feet and it's such a nuisance when my shoes rub against the side of my pinky toe-- thats where I get blisters. <3 So much love for these beauties.

Lastly, I love the shape of the shoe.
Im not too sure what it's called, but the part of the shoe covering the toes is almost like an arrow shape. I find it really flattering because I hate it when my toes peek through the top because they're not covered and I think these shoes do the opposite of that VERY well.

<-- i felt the need to include a picture in case no one understood me. I have abnormally long toes so this tends to happen a lot and I'm not a fan of that look! This is just a random picture from google  btw…. and this may seem kind of counter productive but dang those shoes are actually pretty cute…

And then theres the strap--- oh my. I've always loved that retro Mary Jane strap and I'm so glad that it's coming back around! I've heard that it makes your legs look shorter, but WHATEVER. I love it.

A Dozen Roses

Wow its been a while! Sorry for the lack of posts-- last week I had a lot of things going on as it was the last week of the grading period and it was valentines day!!! Since we last talked, a LOT of things have happened but I'm so excited to finally get back into the swing of things :) Stay tuned!

Things that made me laugh recently :
"hope your day is as nice as your butt"
"if I told you that you had a nice body would you hold it against me?"

Fragrance Sampler For Her SEPHORA FAVORITES

Hey everyone!
Here's a perfect gift idea for someone just starting off with perfume (such as myself). For 24 dollars, you get 5 samples and a coupon to redeem one sample for a full sized rollerball. I think this is great because whoever you're buying this for gets a little bit of freedom as to what they really want and at the same time they're not committing to a full sized, bottle perfume. I got this as a really belated secret santa present a little while back, and I couldn't wait to share it with all of you!

The set also came with some gorgeous perfume sample postcards that you can send to a friend for fun-- I think I'm just going to keep them and put them up on my wall because they're just so pretty :)

When redeemed, the rollerballs range from $22 - $29 dollars. While you do NOT have to pay anything for the difference in price, if you were thinking about buying it for yourself, I would do a little bit of research into what perfume you think you'll want, as its not THAT great of a deal if you end up picking a $22 dollar rollerball. Just wanted to get that out there ;)

Mark Jacobs - Dot $22
Out of the set, I think Dot would be the most appropriate for just about everyone whether for youngsters just starting out with perfume or experts. It's not at all overwhelming, and has light hearted innocent notes. Out of all the perfumes in this set, I'd say that its the only one that has a sugary sweet note to it rather than a floral sweet like a few of the others.
"A mouthwatering, juicy scent spiked with spontaneity and sparkle"

Chloe - See by $22
I'm really not a fan of this scent. To me, it smells like cheap air freshener when you walk into a bathroom. I'm not even kidding. Its not floral, its not sweet, its almost soapy. Not for me! Sorry if I offended any fans out there but I was really disappointed by this scent!
"An optimistic scent, with beautiful apple blossom, designed to capture your playful charm"

Flowerbomb - Viktor & Rolf $29
I probably had the biggest expectation for this perfume as I've seriously been seeing it everywhere! It's definitely what I would call a more mature scent, and has a subtle sexiness to it. It's sophisticated and floral but with a little bit of a muskier undertone that's almost.. dare I say bitter? Its the most unique scent in the set and is really memorable.
"This floral explosion releases a profusion of towers that has the power to make everything seem more positive"

Juicy Couture - Viva La Juicy $22
I'd definitely say this is a fresh, everyday scent. It's really approachable and is an itty bit sweet without being over the top. For this perfume, I would definitely suggest wearing it on your skin for a little while before purchasing because it really changes on the skin vs on a little note card at Sephora.
"creamy caramel meets glimmering fruits in this delightful scent"

Guccci - Flora $27
The first thing I thought after a whiff of this scent was, "ooohis that lemon?" not citrus/ lime/ orange, but tart lemon. Then after a little while, the fresh floral notes captured my attention. Theres no other way to describe this scent than pretty. This is the kind of perfume that where you wouldn't be able to recall what it smelled like, just that it smelled lovely. Its the perfect blend of fruit and flowers and I love it to death. What I also love is how its not musky and doesn't smell like I've just walked into Macys or Nordstroms. I think this would be perfect for the upcoming spring and summer.
"Floral fruits followed by sensual, creamy woods will make you feel dreamy"

Out of all 5, I would definitely say that Flora by Gucci was my favorite which was unexpected because I hadn't heard of it at all!
