Heres a quick and easy tutorial that will show you how to get that warm, cozy sock look with a pair of old gloves!
Depending on where you live, Fall can bring about a lot of different things-- whether it may be snow, or just dipping below the 60 degree mark. Heres a tutorial for all my warm weather girls who want to dress up for the "chilly autumn weather" when, lets be honest, you could be wearing shorts and a t-shirt if you wanted to.
I looooooove boot season-- whether it means riding boots, combat boots, or galoshes. I especially love wearing them with a warm pair of fuzzy socks just barely peaking out from underneath. At the moment, its about 65 degrees outside aka my feet would probably suffocate to death if all bundled up in a thick pair of socks.
Boots - Troopa Boots by Steve Madden
Gloves - Target
You will need:
1 old pair of quarter length gloves
1 pair of scissors
1 pair of booties
2 minutes max of your time!
I'm using a pair of old gloves that I bought 6 years ago for my 5th grade minuet dance LOL can't believe I still remember... but anyways, one glove has a huge hole on the side, so I put it away until I could figure out what to do with it.
1. Carefully trim the finger part off your glove. Repeat on the other glove! Oh no-- this sounds like a procedure for an inquiry lab T_T. Anyways, try to salvage as much of the sleeve part as you can!
2. Slip the sleeves onto your calves-- depending on how high your boots go, you might be doing some adjusting. Don't forget to mismatch your socks!
4. Repeat to verify results. jk. well-- i guess you could with different colors <3
If you want to go for the knitted sock effect, you could even use the sleeves of an old sweater!
Thanks for reading. :)
What a trick, great idea, Bee! It's unfortunate that I live in a tropical country so we don't really have 'season of awesome boots'!
