Hope Line by Philosophy

These two sample products are from a little kit with sample sizes of Philosophy's hope line. I thought that I would write a quick review about the lip balm,  as well as the hand lotion.

Hope in a Stick (Lip balm)
About a week ago, my lips got a little irritated with me-- probably after not getting enough sleep, and not drinking enough water.... oops. So I put this lip balm to the test! My lips were not chapped, but they were very dry. The first thing I noticed is that this lip balm is very light. It's almost like spreading a lighter version of vaseline over your lips. You can still your dry skin when you rub your lips together-- except they're coated in a layer of balm. In the long run, I didn't really see this lip balm making any difference in they hydration of my lips; however, I do like how theres no scent or taste. This way, I can layer this product with any lipstick that I think is a little bit too drying.

Hands of Hope (Hand Cream)
Like the lip balm, this product also has not scent. I noticed that its a lot thinner than the typical hand cream. It's very close to the consistency of a body lotion. I prefer lotions that really sink into your skin. I found that this lotion still left a greasy layer on the palm of my hands which wasn't great. My hands DID feel nice and moisturized afterwards which made me happy.

Overall, my first impression of the Philosophy was that these products are not worth buying.

I'm testing out this whole GIF thing... what do you think?  LOL

  1. I never knew they also have lip balm! It looks--longer/bigger than normal lip balms?
I don't even have Philosophy products in my country, but I saw them when I was in France, my housemate also bought their body soap so I thought they were good, it's disappointing to see that they don't actually worth-it. Thanks for reviewing, Bee!

  2. Yeah, I find that a lot of Philisophy's products aren't worth buying :(
Their shower gels are cute though, as they have recipes on them, but I find a lot of their products to be overpriced and useless ._.
